Two Basic Functions of Intermediate Relays in Practical Applications

There are mainly two basic usage of intermediate relay used in the practical application as indicated as below.

1. Intermediate relay contact extension, generally used in the main circuit mostly:
For example: intermediate relays used in the main circuit, and AC contactors in parallel, used to expand the contact of AC contactors, contacts to make up for the shortcomings of insufficient use.

2. Electrical isolation is most commonly used in control circuits:
This is the principle we usually use: small current to control the large current, small voltage to control the large voltage, for the main circuit of large current and large voltage isolation.

Photoelectric switch control miniature relay:
First we use the relay to control the alarm, closing the power supply alarm will sound, so we use photoelectric switch control relay, since the control relay we have to control the relay coil, as shown in the picture, when we touch the photoelectric switch, the relay power, the alarm will ring.

The working principle of Photoelectric Switch 220V Plus intermediate relay alarm:
First of all, the electrical components used in our diagram are 220V, so the power line to zero, the fire line into the relay’s normally open contacts above, respectively, the contacts go into the power supply for the alarm.
Photoelectric switch wiring, zero into the photoelectric switch, through the photoelectric switch often open into relay coil 13, wire into the relay coil 14, when we touch the photoelectric switch, photoelectric switch often open point close.
At this time, the relay coil power, often open contact closed, the alarm must be electric ring up, when we leave the photoelectric switch, often open point off, relay power loss, and alarm power loss stopped ringing.
This is how the photoelectric switch controls the relay, and how the relay is used in the actual circuit, playing the function of transmission signal.
